FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

National Latino Farmers and Ranchers-NLFR & UDC 7th Farmers Market Season Closing

The National Latino Farmers and Ranchers (NLFR), in collaboration with The University of the District of Columbia (UDC), is pleased to announce that its 7th season of the UDC Van Ness Farmers Market has closed. This 7th season was a success and thanks to the vendors and producers, who are the heart and reason for being of the NLFR Farmers Market.

The market was a great representation of the diversity of Washington, D.C. We hosted varied local DMV vendors and producers with origins from Latin America,  Africa, Europe, and Asia.

Our mission at the National Latino Farmers and Ranchers is to protect, preserve and serve the historically discriminated against producers, and as such, the vendors and producers are a vital part of the mission and the organization. Their active participation has allowed NLFR to meet one of the goals set and approved by the USDA at the beginning of the year, as part of the growth and development of the organization. The NLFR/UDC Farmers Market is an example to be replicated nationwide.

A heartfelt thank you to each of the vendors, producers, neighbors, organizations, neighborhood, friends, and allies, for their help and support during this season, and for being part of our family project. We look forward to seeing all of you next year.

SEE YOU APRIL 2023-NLFR/UDC FARMERS MARKET 8TH SEASON

THANK YOU!
